Arthur L. Siggers was born October 19, 1948 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He married Mae Alice Taylor and is the father of four children. He graduated from L.J. Rowan High School in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1966 and attended Alcorn State University in Lorman, Mississippi from 1973 to 1975, the Southeast Mississippi Seminary in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from 1979 to 1982 and graduated from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1999. Pastor Siggers has a BS Degree as well as a Master Degree in Religious Counseling.He was licensed on November 4, 1979 and ordained on October 29, 1980.
He pastored New Hope Baptist Church in Ellisville, Mississippi from 1980 to 1983. Under his leadership a new church was built and the membership grew from 12 to 60 members.
He was called to pastor Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in April 1983. Under his leadership the church average over 100 new members each year, a new educational wing was built, a new fellowship hall was built and the parking lot was enlarge and paved. Mt. Olive has over 1000 active members, 50 employees and numerous Christian volunteers.
